Activities
Rolling Green offers a variety of activities for its students.
Student Ambassadors
- Third to fifth graders are eligible
- Students apply in the fall
- Students lead tours for guests wanting to learn more about Rolling Green Elementary School
- Approximately 8 students are part of the Student Ambassadors group
Student Council
- Fifth graders can join the Student Council
- Student must complete the application process
- The council looks for ways to serve the school and community.
Student Patrol
- The Student Patrol helps younger students find buses at the end of day
- Fifth graders can join
- Student must complete the application process
REBA
- Fourth/Fifth grade basketball team(s)
- Number of teams depends on number of students interested and coaches available
- Tryouts are in December
- Play other schools in Rockford
Kindness Club
- Fourth/Fifth grade students
- Students must complete the application process
- The club meets during lunch/recess
- Students complete activities and initiatives that make Rolling Green a better learning community for all.
LEGO Robotics Team
- Fourth/Fifth grade student(s)
- Complete STEM activities
- Compete locally with other elementary LEGO Robotics Teams
- Design a project to enhance the school. The 2019-2020 school year's project was the installation of a wheelchair swing.
LEGO Club
- Second/Third grade student(s)
- Complete STEM activities
- Build skills necessary to compete in the LEGO team
