Rolling Green offers a variety of activities for its students.

Student Ambassadors

  • Third to fifth graders are eligible
  • Students apply in the fall
  • Students lead tours for guests wanting to learn more about Rolling Green Elementary School
  • Approximately 8 students are part of the Student Ambassadors group

Student Council

  • Fifth graders can join the Student Council
  • Student must complete the application process
  • The council looks for ways to serve the school and community.

Student Patrol

  • The Student Patrol helps younger students find buses at the end of day
  • Fifth graders can join
  • Student must complete the application process


  • Fourth/Fifth grade basketball team(s)
  • Number of teams depends on number of students interested and coaches available
  • Tryouts are in December
  • Play other schools in Rockford

Kindness Club

  • Fourth/Fifth grade students
  • Students must complete the application process
  • The club meets during lunch/recess
  • Students complete activities and initiatives that make Rolling Green a better learning community for all.

LEGO Robotics Team

  • Fourth/Fifth grade student(s)
  • Complete STEM activities
  • Compete locally with other elementary LEGO Robotics Teams
  • Design a project to enhance the school. The 2019-2020 school year's project was the installation of a wheelchair swing.


  • Second/Third grade student(s)
  • Complete STEM activities
  • Build skills necessary to compete in the LEGO team
